Nick Keir is a musician and songwriter from Edinburgh with a career
spanning 4 decades, beginning with Finn mac Cuill in 1973
. He was a member of
7:84 Theatre Group from 1979 to 1981 before
joining
The McCalmans, Scotland's leading Folk Song group in
1982, and has been with them ever since, touring all over the world
and producing some 22 albums.
As well as working with the Macs Nick has produced 3 well-received
solo CDs and toured extensively with
The Tolkien Ensemble,
recently featuring as soloist alongside Christopher Lee, Kurt Ravn,
Paul Dissing and the Danmarks Radio Underholdnings Orchestra.
